The Mission of the Toastmasters Club is
to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment, in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
What is the DTCC Toastmasters Club?
The DTCC Toastmasters Club is a small group of individuals who, as our mission states, practice speaking, communication and leadership skills in a friendly, fun and supportive environment.
The club serves communicators of all levels and meets regularly during lunchtime and on some mornings, before work.
How Do Toastmasters Improve Their Speaking, Communication and Leadership Skills?
Members of the Toastmasters Club challenge themselves at meetings so they will be prepared to communicate clearly and comfortably at work and home.
Specifically, Toastmasters:

Learn, step-by-step, how to prepare and deliver speeches and presentations!

Administer club meetings and take on a variety of roles!

Practice "Thinking on Their Feet" by responding impromptu to questions!

Rehearse work presentations and receive constructive feedback right away.

Attend meetings as a guest as many times as you like, before deciding if you want to officially join the club! We welcome communicators of all levels!
